Ms Victoria Pearce

Biography

Victoria Pearce is a Neurological Occupational Therapist with experience supporting adults and children with neurological, physical and cognitive difficulties across community, home, school and rehabilitation settings. She currently works within a Community Neurology Service, alongside her independent Occupational Therapy practice with both adult and paediatric clients.

Victoria has particular expertise in neurological rehabilitation, functional assessment and goal-based intervention. Her work includes cognitive assessment, upper limb rehabilitation, fatigue management, sleep hygiene, equipment provision and helping individuals regain independence in everyday activities such as washing, dressing, meal preparation, transfers and community access.

A central part of Victoria’s approach is understanding what matters most to each individual and translating this into meaningful rehabilitation goals. She uses established goal-setting approaches, including Goal Attainment Scaling and the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure, to ensure that intervention remains practical, measurable and centred on the person’s priorities.

Victoria works closely within multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Rehabilitation Assistants and carers. She also liaises with relatives, GPs, consultants, workplaces, community services and equipment providers to help ensure that rehabilitation is coordinated across the different areas of a person’s life.

Her experience also includes paediatric Occupational Therapy, where she has supported children and young people with physical, neurological and sensory difficulties in home, nursery and school environments. Her work has included postural seating, fine motor skills, activities of daily living, sensory needs, handwriting, equipment provision and major home adaptations. She is trained in the Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance approach and has also developed service provision for children with ADHD.

Victoria brings together her backgrounds in psychology, cognitive rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy to take a holistic view of rehabilitation. She considers not only physical function, but also cognition, emotional wellbeing, environment and the demands of everyday life when developing recommendations and supporting individuals towards greater independence.

Awards & Education

Victoria completed her MSc in Occupational Therapy at Brunel University and also holds an MSc in Cognitive Rehabilitation from the University of Westminster. Prior to this, she completed a BSc in Psychology at the University of Bedfordshire.

Her clinical experience spans adult neurological rehabilitation, paediatric Occupational Therapy and community-based practice, giving her a broad understanding of how neurological and physical conditions can affect functioning across different stages of life.

Victoria is also involved in service development, staff training and practice education, and has contributed to recruitment within neurological and paediatric Occupational Therapy services.

Across her practice, Victoria remains committed to collaborative, goal-driven rehabilitation that empowers individuals to make choices, build confidence and work towards the activities and roles that are most meaningful to them.
