Biography
Kat Thorley is a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with almost a decade of experience and specialist expertise in Neurorehabilitation. After qualifying with her BSc in Occupational Therapy, Kat embarked on a role with the Kings College NHS Foundation Trust, gaining a wealth of experience in the development and delivery of treatment plans for complex and varied patient caseloads. Kat has since provided assessment and rehabilitation of individuals experiencing neurological conditions including stroke, to neuro-oncology including brain/spinal injuries and Guillain Barre syndrome.
Kat is also an Expert Witness, utilising her wealth of clinical expertise to evaluate complex cases and provide thorough and objective reports and astute recommendations. She is fully trained in the Civil Procedures Rules and continually develops her clinical and medico- legal skills via a range of additional training.
Awards & Education
Kat Thorley received her BSc in Occupational Therapy in 2013. Since then, she has furthered her education in the field through her work in neurorehabilitation at reputable hospitals such as The Wellington Hospital and Croydon University Hospital, as well as NHS services and units such as Camden Community Neuro & Stroke Service, Guys & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College NHS Foundation Trust.
